(Office hours Monday – Friday, 9am – 3pm).

Our VIP package offers our customers the ultimate diving getaway. Our diving excursions involve 3 days / 2 nights in either Port Stephens or Jervis Bay, offering a similar itinerary.

The cost for these all inclusive VIP excursions totals at just $799.

The Locations

Port Stevens is located North of Sydney, about 3 hours drive, and Jervis Bay is South of Sydney, about 2 ½ hours drive. Both places are marine parks, which means they have special fishing protection areas. Because of this the marine life is amazing, so they are ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving. Dolphins can be spotted all year round and whales between May and October. You may also catch seals during the winter months in Jervis Bay. Aside from the sea life, there are also many cultural attractions, such as old light houses and beautiful beaches – Jervis Bay has one of the whitest beaches in the world. There is also the opportunity to get a close look at the Australian wildlife in their natural habitat, such as kangaroos, koalas, wallabies and much more.

The Dives

As part of your excursion, you will have 6  dives included, incorporating both scuba diving and snorkeling. The dives consist of 4 scuba dives with an instructor and 2 or more snorkel dives with a dive master. All water activities are supervised by an instructor or dive master. The dives are conducted with entry from the shore, which ensures easy progress, safety and no risk of sea sickness. All water activities are weather permitting. For your introductory scuba dives, you need not have any experience. Our highly qualified scuba instructors will guide you through the proper operation of the equipment and brief you on the basic techniques of breathing underwater and safety procedures. No experience is required, however it is important to have a basic level of competence in the ocean. A medical questioner and waiver release need to be completed by each customer prior to the dive. To ensure the safety of all participants, medical conditions such as asthma or a history of diving related accident(s) will prevent you from participating in the dive program. All equipment is provided by Alpha Dive, including wetsuits, fins, mask and snorkels and scuba gear.

The Accommodation

At Port Stevens, there are two options for accommodation: camping style, where you’ll need to bring a tent, sleeping bag; or cabins and dorms, which includes bed linen and blankets. Toilets and showers are located in a separate building. Both types of accommodation are multi share and cabins need to be book in advanced. Please mention if you would like a cabin during your booking.

At Jervis Bay, accommodation is a multi share cabin style. Each cabin includes kitchen, toilet and shower inside. You need to bring a sleeping bag, or for an extra $15 you can rent bed linen and blankets.

The Food

All meals are prepared for you and catered for both vegetarian and meat eaters. The program includes 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 1 dinner. Breakfasts are continental style, lunches consist in a light meal such as hotdogs or sandwiches and BBQ dinner is weather permitting. Water and juice are included, but alcoholic and soft drinks are BYO.

The Transport

Transport is included as part of the package to and from the dive site from most Sydney locations. Other locations may incur an extra charge. Transport is available on request when you make your booking.

The Memories

Photos and GoPro footage will be taken by our third party underwater professional photography company – Peter Bidewell Photography. These images and videos and be downloaded and purchased online for a small fee. Professional photos taken during the excursion can also be printed and made into a bound photo album. This option will incur a charge, depending on the number of prints and copies desired.

The Next Step

To complete your Open Water Qualification, one can opt to include two extra dives and theory tuition during the excursion. Along with the necessary theory and exam, these dives make up the requirement for an Open Water Course, making you qualified to dive anywhere in the world, for the rest of your life, without an instructor. There is a charge for these extra components, totaling at $799. The cost of the VIP package plus Open Water Course would usually total at $998, saving you almost $200!
